How to Download Your Procare Photos to a Computer

Saving Procare photos to your phone often grabs a smaller copy. Here's how to get the full-size originals onto a laptop or desktop.

Most of us check Procare on a phone, so that's where people first try to save photos too. It works — but tapping save on a phone often gives you a smaller, compressed copy, not the full-size original. If you're keeping these for the long haul, a computer is the better home: the files land at full quality and they're far easier to organise and back up.

Why a computer beats your phone here

  • Full-size originals. The desktop route pulls the same quality the daycare holds, not a shrunk version.
  • Real folders. Sorting a year of photos into tidy folders is a nightmare on a phone and simple on a laptop.
  • Proper backups. From a computer you can copy everything to a cloud drive and an external disk in minutes.

Get them all onto your laptop or desktop

NurseryDownloader is a Chrome extension made for exactly this.

  1. On your computer, open Chrome or Edge and add NurseryDownloader from the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Sign in to Procare at schools.procareconnect.com and open your child's photos.
  3. Click Download all photos and videos. Everything downloads to your computer at full quality, into a folder per child and month-by-month sub-folders, ready to back up.

Windows or Mac — both fine

It runs in Chrome or Edge on either, so a Windows PC, a MacBook or an iMac all work the same way. (It's a desktop browser extension, so it doesn't run on phones or tablets — that's the point: the computer is where the full-size files belong.)

Everything happens locally in your browser — nothing is uploaded to us. Your first 20 downloads are free.
