How to Download Photos from the Procare App

Procare only lets parents save photos one at a time. Here's how to get every photo and video onto your computer in a single click.

Procare — sometimes called Procare Connect — is how a lot of US daycares share photos and videos of your child's day. It's lovely to get the updates. It's less lovely when you try to actually keep them, because Procare only lets you save photos one at a time.

There's no "download all" button for parents inside the app. So if you want your child's photos on your own computer — for a photo book, a backup, or just peace of mind — you either spend a long evening clicking, or you use a tool that does it in one go.

The one-click way

NurseryDownloader is a Chrome extension that saves everything from Procare at full quality, in a single click.

Step 1: Install the extension

On a laptop or desktop (it doesn't run on phones or tablets), open Chrome or Edge and add NurseryDownloader from the Chrome Web Store.

Step 2: Sign in to Procare

Go to schools.procareconnect.com, sign in with your parent account, and open the page where your child's photos and videos appear.

Step 3: Download

Click Download all photos and videos in the panel. Everything saves at full quality, sorted into a folder for each child, then month-by-month sub-folders, with date-first filenames. It loads the older, archived items too — not just the recent ones.

What you can rely on

  • Full-quality originals, not lossy screenshots.
  • Photos and videos, filed by date.
  • Nothing leaves your computer — it all runs locally in your browser.
  • 20 free downloads to try before you buy — no card needed.

A couple of common questions

More than one child? Procare shows one child's gallery at a time, so open each child's gallery and click download for each. Each saves into its own folder.

Will I lose the photos when we leave? Very possibly — once your account is closed, access is usually switched off and the daycare isn't keeping an album for you. Save them before you leave.
