Does Famly Delete Your Child's Photos When They Leave Nursery?

As nursery comes to an end, this is the worry that surfaces: when we leave, do the Famly photos disappear? Here's the honest version, including the bits nobody can promise you.

What's actually certain

Famly is run by your nursery, not by you. Your child's photos and videos live on the nursery's account, and your access is tied to your child being on the register. When they leave, that access is normally switched off.

Whether Famly then deletes the underlying files, and when, comes down to the nursery's own settings and data policies — not something published for parents, so I won't guess at it. But the practical truth is simpler and more important: once your login stops working, the photos are out of your reach anyway. You can't browse them and you can't download them.

What you can't bank on

• A warning. Some nurseries leave access open for a few weeks as a courtesy; some switch it off on the last day; some remove old families in a periodic tidy-up. You can't predict which.
• The nursery keeping a copy for you. There's no obligation to, and a leaving PDF or a handful of emailed photos isn't the same as the full-quality originals.
• A second chance. Once access is gone, it's usually gone for good.

The one reliable move

Save everything while you can still log in — ideally weeks before the last day.
