How to Download Photos from the KinderCare App

If your child goes to KinderCare, the app has quietly filled up with photos and videos of their days — meals, naps, paint-covered hands, the lot. At some point you'll want to keep them properly, and that's where most parents hit the wall: the KinderCare app lets you save photos one at a time, which is a long evening of tapping when there are hundreds.

It helps to know what the app actually is. The KinderCare app runs on the Lillio platform (formerly HiMama) — KinderCare is the branding, Lillio is the engine underneath. So if you've read that Lillio downloads are one-at-a-time, that's why KinderCare works the same way.

Why it's worth doing sooner rather than later

The photos live on the childcare provider's system, not yours, and your access is tied to your child being enrolled. When they move up or move on, that login is usually switched off — and the photos go quiet with it. There's no guarantee the centre keeps a copy for you. So the safest time to save everything is while you can still log in.
