How to Download All Your Photos from the Famly App

If your child's nursery uses Famly, it has quietly built up hundreds, sometimes thousands, of photos and videos of your child. The catch: Famly only lets you save them one at a time, and once your child leaves the setting your login is switched off and everything disappears with it.

Step 1: Install the extension

1. Open Google Chrome on a laptop or desktop (the extension doesn't run on phones or tablets).
2. Go to the NurseryDownloader page on the Chrome Web Store.
3. Click Add to Chrome, then Add extension in the pop-up.

Step 2: Open Famly

1. Go to famly.co (or famly.de) and log in with your parent account.
2. Open your feed, the best place to start, as feed downloads also save a captions spreadsheet, or your child's profile, where their tagged photos live.

Step 3: Click download

1. The NurseryDownloader panel appears automatically in the top-right of the page.
2. Click Download all photos & videos. It scans the page and shows how many items it has found.
3. Everything saves to your computer at full resolution, neatly organised into month-by-month folders. Feed downloads also include a spreadsheet (photo-captions.csv) of the date and caption for every post, so each photo keeps its story.
