# NurseryDownloader

> NurseryDownloader is a Chrome extension that lets parents download every photo and video their child's nursery or daycare has shared, in one click, at full quality. It works with Famly (including famly.de and Bright Horizons FamilyApp in the UK), ParentZone, Lillio (formerly HiMama), KinderCare, Procare, Kidizz, Meeko, Bitcare, Storypark and Xplor Home.

## About

Most nursery and daycare apps only let parents save photos one at a time, and what a parent can still reach after their child leaves is up to the nursery and the app. NurseryDownloader collects the whole gallery and downloads it in a single run, into dated folders at full quality. Photos go straight from the nursery app to the parent's computer and never pass through NurseryDownloader's servers. It was built by Simon Minton, a parent of three. Between late July and early October 2026 alone, parents used it to download more than 1.1 million photos and videos.

- Product: a Google Chrome extension that also runs in Microsoft Edge, on Windows, macOS and ChromeOS laptops and desktops. It does not run on iPhone, iPad or Android phones.

A licence costs £19.99 in the UK, US$24.99 in the United States, CA$34.99 in Canada, A$37.99 in Australia, NZ$45.99 in New Zealand, €24.99 in Germany, France and the Netherlands, and 229 kr. in Denmark. It lasts one year from purchase and never auto-renews.
- Privacy: photos are downloaded directly from the nursery app to the user's computer and never pass through NurseryDownloader's servers, so NurseryDownloader never sees them. It never asks for the parent's nursery app password: it runs in the parent's own browser, where they are already signed in (many photo download tools ask for the login instead).
- Videos are downloaded alongside photos at full quality. On Xplor Home, videos that Xplor only streams cannot be saved as files; the extension skips them and says how many.
- Famly feed downloads also save photo-captions.csv with the date and caption of every post. ParentZone downloads also save the nursery's written notes as a text file per post.

## How it works

1. Install NurseryDownloader from the Chrome Web Store: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/nursery-downloader/ibkhapjhdbbldmfnkobgkchmhbidhagh
2. Sign in to the nursery or daycare app in Chrome or Edge as normal.
3. Open the page where your child's photos appear; the NurseryDownloader panel appears on the page.
4. Use the panel to download every photo and video. They save to the computer in dated folders.
5. Enter a licence key to remove the 20-download limit.

- Which platforms does it work with? Famly (including famly.de and Bright Horizons FamilyApp), ParentZone, Lillio (HiMama), KinderCare, Procare, Kidizz, Meeko, Bitcare, Storypark and Xplor Home.
- Does it work with Brightwheel? No.
- Does it work with Bright Horizons in the US? No. US centers use My Bright Day, which is not supported; its own Photo Archive can export photos. UK Bright Horizons uses FamilyApp, which is supported.
- Does it work with Storypark and Xplor Home? Yes, both, for families in Australia and New Zealand (and Storypark families elsewhere).
- Can NurseryDownloader see my photos? No. They go straight from the app to your computer.
- Does it need my nursery app password? No. It works in your own browser, where you are already signed in, so it never asks for your login details.

- Does it work on a phone or tablet? No. Use Chrome or Edge on a laptop or desktop.
- Is there a refund? Yes. If it doesn't work for you, email support within 30 days for a full refund. The first 20 downloads are free, so you can check it works with your app first.
- Why does Chrome ask where to save every file? Turn off "Ask where to save each file before downloading" at chrome://settings/downloads, and allow automatic multiple downloads at chrome://settings/content/automaticDownloads.
